Hi, my name is Tara - mum to three girls; a 7 year old, 6 year old twins and an 3 year old baby boy!

I started this shop six years ago while on maternity leave with my first baby.  We have never found out the genders of our babies, and at the time it was very difficult to find gender neutral clothing locally.  I spent nap times shopping online and finding so many brands that weren't represented in Canada, spending excessive amounts on shipping and import fees.  Which sparked the idea to start Little Minimalist.  

My original vision for the store was 'minimal' in design; lots of basics & gender neutral clothing.  But now that I'm in my fifth year and a mom of four, my focus is not only basics, but QUALITY clothing that lasts, that can be passed down to siblings, or sold as Preloved clothing.
